Mill Steel’s partner group accepting an award from the West Michigan Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals on Nov. 9 – National Philanthropy Day – for Mill Steel’s long-term partnership with D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

There's more to being a successful business than turning a profit. Giving back to the community is an integral part of the Mill Steel Company's philosophy.
That's why we're actively involved with groups like Big Brothers, Big Sisters. For the past nine years, we've helped raise more than $1 million for the group, and were the title sponsor of Golf For Kids' Sake in 2005, raising more than $85,000 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters mentoring programs.
Mill Steel is also proud to be a Silver Sponsor for Dwelling Place, a partner in revitalizing troubled neighborhoods by developing quality affordable housing for homeless and low-income individuals and families. Mill Steel recently hosted a linen drive for Dwelling Place, which garnered additional monetary donations.
This year, 98 percent of Mill Steel's employees are donating to the United Way.
